🇮🇸 Verne to host Supplier Information Day for major Keflavík campus expansion
Reykjavík, Iceland – July 30, 2026 – Verne will host a Supplier Information Day on August 20, 2026 for Iceland-based organisations interested in supporting a potential major expansion of its existing campus in Keflavík.
The event aims to bring together construction, engineering, infrastructure and specialist technology suppliers to learn more about the project, hear directly from Verne’s project team, and understand future opportunities to participate in the development.
The expansion, still under study, forms part of Verne’s long-term commitment to building the infrastructure required to support the next generation of AI, high-performance computing and data-intensive workloads, powered by renewable energy.
The proposed project will expand Verne’s existing Keflavík campus, including the data center and substation, with the extension providing up to 120 MW of power. More than 1,000 jobs are expected to be created during the construction phase of the new buildings, creating significant opportunities for local contractors, suppliers and specialist partners.
“As demand for compute continues to grow, so does the need for sustainable infrastructure that can support it. We’re keen to engage with local suppliers wherever possible, furthering our ties with the community and contributing to the wider economic development of Iceland, while working with organisations that share our commitment to quality, innovation and responsible development,” said Styrmir Hafliðason, Managing Director, Verne Iceland.
Interested parties are invited to register their potential attendance: Verne Sustainable Compute Iceland.
