🇸🇪 Pixelgen Technologies raises $15.5 million in oversubscribed Series B to accelerate global expansion and unlock new insights into biology

August 27, 2026 — Industrifonden continues its investment in Pixelgen Technologies, a Stockholm-based life sciences company developing a new way to study molecular cell architecture. The company has raised $15.5 million in an oversubscribed Series B financing led by Flat Capital, with continued participation from Industrifonden and Navigare Ventures.

Pixelgen has developed the first high-throughput platform for mapping molecular cell architecture at nanoscale resolution. Its Proxiome Kit enables researchers to see not only how much of a particular protein is present, but how proteins are organised, clustered and positioned on the surface of individual cells.

This provides a new layer of biological information that is not captured by conventional proteomic approaches. By revealing how molecules are organised within cells, Pixelgen’s technology can generate new insights into disease mechanisms, biomarkers and treatment response.

At Industrifonden, we believe technologies that unlock new ways of understanding biology can play an important role in the development of future medicines. Pixelgen’s platform has the potential to open new avenues for research and, ultimately, contribute to drug discovery and development across areas including oncology, immunology and autoimmune disease.

“Pixelgen is opening up a new way of understanding biology. By making it possible to study how proteins are organised on the surface of individual cells, the platform can reveal biological insights that are not captured by conventional approaches. We believe this could ultimately contribute to new approaches to drug discovery and the development of new medicines,” says Patrick Sobocki, Senior Investment Director at Industrifonden.

The new financing will support Pixelgen’s global commercial expansion, continued product development and expansion into new applications. The company is already working with researchers across immunology, hematology, oncology and cell therapy.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Stockholm, Pixelgen is commercialising its molecular cell architecture platform to enable researchers to move beyond protein abundance and explore the architectural features of cell state, disease and treatment response.
