🇳🇴 KSAT and Nara Space expand partnership to support new constellation

Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) and Nara Space are strengthening their partnership to support the growth of Nara Space’s satellite constellations. Building on several years of successful collaboration, the companies are now taking the next step in their cooperation.

Nara Space is gearing up to launch two new global coverage constellations: Observer, delivering high-resolution optical imagery to power next-generation Earth observation services, and NarSha, dedicated to detecting and monitoring methane emissions worldwide.

To manage this growth, the company will rely on KSAT’s cost-efficient and scalable KSATlite global ground station network, designed for rapid onboarding and fully automated operations.

Kenneth Olafsson, Head of KSAT Asia explains:

We are excited to develop our partnership with Nara Space and support the space eco-system growth in Korea, by being a trusted partner to Nara Space. By utilizing the KSATlite global ground network service, Nara can focus on what matters most for them, R&D, manufacturing scalability and market development for their imagery products and services. KSAT takes care of the rest.”

By combining KSAT’s extensive ground network expertise with Nara Space’s innovation in satellite development, the partnership is paving the way for future satellite constellations and the delivery of advanced Earth observation services worldwide.

Jungkyu Lee, CCO of Nara Space highlights:

“As we prepare to scale our satellite operations globally, KSAT’s trusted infrastructure ensures that we can deliver data quickly and reliably to our customers whereever they might be. This partnership allows Nara Space to concentrate on what defines us—developing innovative satellites and advanced analytics that support disaster response, environmental monitoring, and economic intelligence.”
