🇫🇮 Sari Kola appointed as new chair of BotH₂nia

The board of BotH₂nia has elected Sari Kola as the new chairperson of the board. Other members of the board this year are Berndt Schalin, Andreas Teir, Natascha Skog, and Sören Mattbäck.

Sari Kola, who holds two doctorates, has been elected as the new chair of the BotHâ‚‚nia Association.

Sari Kola has been involved with BotHâ‚‚nia for over a year, during which time she has led the organisation’s activities. She currently also serves as director of the EnergySampo ecosystem, which is tasked with creating carbon-neutral energy solutions for a sustainable future, particularly on the coast of Ostrobothnia.

Kola is a practical strategist with over 20 years of experience in managing people, business, and innovation on four continents while working for Nokia, Elisa, and Kone. As a developer of new business, he believes that in a digitalising world, we need not only technology, but also business models and organisational methods that support its utilisation.

Kola’s areas of expertise include strategy formulation and implementation, as well as the facilitation and orchestration of collaborative cultures and ecosystems. Last year, he completed her second doctoral dissertation at the University of Turku on ecosystems and the organisation and management of collaboration.

BotH₂nia would like to express its heartfelt thanks to its current chair, Matti Malkamäki, who will now focus on the growth of Hycamite as chair of its board of directors. Hycamite produces hydrogen and solid carbon with low emissions by splitting methane molecules. Malkamäki was involved in establishing the BotH₂nia collaboration from the very beginning.

His visionary skills and ability to inspire people have significantly advanced the hydrogen economy in the BotHâ‚‚nia hydrogen valley and beyond.
