Two radioactive Russian submarine wrecks will be retrieved from Arctic waters in 2030

Salvage plans aim to lift the sunken nuclear ships from the seafloor before radiation begins to leak.

The two rusty nuclear submarines, K-27 and K-159, will be raised from the sea bed of the Barents and Kara seas and brought to a shipyard for safe decommissioning.
