Nuclear submarine docks in Tromsø as Norway, US bolster Arctic military ties
The USS New Mexico is the first nuclear submarine to dock in northern Norway as part of a new agreement between the two countries.

The USS New Mexico, a United States nuclear-powered Virginia-class fast-attack submarine, made a port call to a civilian harbor just north of Tromsø in northern Norway on Monday, the first such vessel to do so as part of a new agreement between between the two nations.
