Novatek says it will move LNG ship-to-ship transfers from Norwegian to Russian waters

Novatek will move ship-to-ship transfers of Yamal LNG from Honningsvåg to the waters off Kildin island — and eventually construct a permanent transshipment terminal on the Kola Peninsula.

Representatives of Russian gas company Novatek told the newspaper Kommersant that the reloading of LNG in the Sarnes Fjord outside Honningsvåg, Norway, will come to an end in the course of 2019. The operations will instead be moved to Russian waters, most likely to an area near the island of Kildin.
