🇫🇮 Sompo Japan and ICEYE partner to accelerate flood claims response using satellite intelligence

Sompo Japan Insurance Inc., a leading provider of property and casualty insurance services in Japan, has signed a contract with ICEYE, the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, to use its Flood Insights solution to enhance its response to flood events and support customers affected by natural disasters.
The adoption of satellite data like ICEYE’s Flood Insights forms part of Sompo Japan’s wider Hikeshi DNA 2030 Project, which aims to enhance regional resilience. One of the project’s pillars is to strengthen the ability to respond before, during and after natural disasters, helping communities and customers better prepare for and recover from increasingly severe natural hazards.
