Trans-Arctic shipments are on the agenda as Chinese companies come to St. Petersburg Economic Forum

The deal involves key Russian and Chinese companies active in the region, including Novatek and COSCO.

Russian natural gas company Novatek and Chinese shipping company COSCO have signed a cooperation agreement, which could open ways to new logistics schemes in Arctic shipping. Sovcomflot, the Russian shipping company, and the Chinese Silk Road Fund are also part of the deal.
