On February 24, 2024, people gathered in the central square of the arctic town of Kirkenes, Norway, to show support for Ukraine – two years after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The crowd walked towards the Russian consulate, where activists and politicians made anti-war speeches. In the video report, local residents tell The Barents Observer why it was important for them to participate in the gathering. Video with Russian and English subtitles.
