Researchers move into Arctic waters, ready to drift with the ice
The Russian research vessel Akademik Tryoshnikov will drift in ice from late March until May.

The Russian research vessel Akademik Tryoshnikov set out on March 20 from Murmansk on a course for the North Pole. The ice-class ship will sail north of archipelago of Franz Josef Land, from where it is to drift with the ice to waters near Svalbard.
