Climate change report warns of multiple threats Finnish Lapland

Northern Finland will see more floods, more heatwaves — even more threats to reindeer herding such as parasites, the report said.

A recent report by The Finnish Climate Change Panel warns that the Finnish Lapland will have an increased risk of flooding as a result of global warming and increased rainfall. The report states that six areas in the region are at high risk for flooding — more than in any other region in Finland.
