Bolstered by the battery boom, a mining company eyes 9 new open pits in Kola Peninsula

After more than a decade of planning, the U.K.-based Eurasian Mining Plc now looks set to kick off a major development of its Monchetundra licenses in Russia’s Kola Peninsula. In March this year, the company joined forces with Rosgeo to prepare the ground for extraction and processing of nickel, cobalt and copper.
