Oil companies show less interest in remote Barents Sea licenses
Just seven companies bid in Norway's latest license round, which includes much territory in the country's Arctic waters.
Dwindling interest among major oil companies in the Norwegian shelf is evident in the country’s 25th license round. According to Norway’s national Petroleum Directorate, only seven companies are bidding for new acreage as part of the round.
