Court order temporarily halts construction at a major ConocoPhillips project in Alaska’s Arctic
The order stops gravel mining and road building until at least Feb. 20, so the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals can consider the suit.

ANCHORAGE — A weekend court ruling has temporarily blocked winter construction at a huge ConocoPhillips oil project on Alaska’s North Slope.
